Right after I installed an update to my ADOBE Acrobat 9, I no longer can send a PDF by email directly by clicking on the mail icon next to the PRINT icon on the document. How can I fix this? I uninstalled and then re-installed Adobe Acrobat 9 and it did not fix this.
Obviously, I can drag a PDF to a message.

Thanks for your reply.
I use Windows Live Mail and I do not know where to set MAPI.
Can you tell me about that ?
Also, I have the pre-installed Adobe Reader X (10.1.0 ) MUI installed on this machine. I can open a PDF with this 10.1.0 reader and send an email using the mail icon on the reader.
However, what I prefer to do is to generate a PDF using v 9 and then immediately email it when it opens on my screen.
I just looked at 3 other computers here and I see that on each PC that I have the pre-installed reader installed on, I can only send a PDF email from the pre-installed Reader, not from the version 9 that I bought and installed.
Does that say something ?
Should I be uninstalling the v10 reader? Was there something that I should have done during the install? I remember that during install, it asked something about v9 or v10 and I chose v9. Mayeb it was about which one to use as the default reader.

Dear Bill
I am pulling my hair out on this issue.
I have uninstalled both the Acrobat 9 and the preinstalled Acrobat 10 X reader. Then reinstalled only Acrobat 9 Full version.
If I open a PDF and then click on the Email Icon in the PDF It says “Unable to Connect to my email program.”
My Email Program is Windows Live Mail 2011
My System is a brand new Win 7 HP Notebook.
Please tell me when I find and set/modify MAPI
Also Please tell me where I set Live Mail as my default email client.
I have no other email client installed anyway.
What I CAN do is right click on a PDF that is on the Desktop and the click Send To and then Mail recipient, and then I get the Windows Live Email Compose Window with the PDF attached. This is acting as though the Mail icon on each PDF is not functional. Like there is no code behind the icon.
Do you have any more info on how I can correct this ?
Any reply to me should also be cc: dan-schaaf@att.net
Thanks to you and anyone else who has a solution.
Best Regards
Dan Schaaf
