help is AS3 video player component development

Hi All

 

I am looking for a video player which

can be resized at design time with ought stretching it controls (play , pause

button , seekbar volume controls full screen button etc.)

 

I found same

kind of player in AS2.0 here. Its best part is that it can be resized at design

time with ought stretching it's controls.

    You may have already looked at this but, you can use an flvplayback component that has no controls and then add the controls that you want individually to the stage. You can then size and position the control components as you like and then use Actionscript to connect each control component to the flvplayback component.

    Yes, go with Rob's suggestion or skip the component all together and use NetStream to play Flash videos. NetStream is a much more powerful and versatie means of displaying video than using the FLVPlayback component. The video display can be whatever your imagination can dream up:

    Thanks a lot for you all..

     

    Actually i want to resize the player on stage in design time. and i want that all controls button like play pause etc should be keep same with and height so that it's shape should not be changed.

    install the mxp file, drag the player on stage, and resize it using the transform tool, button shape and size remains same, seekbar size automatically being resized automatically as per player width.

     

    i want the same thing in my as3 player which i want to make.

    A couple of good options have already been posted. I doubt anyone here has the time to completely build this project for you.

    From this point, you might get a better response if you went ahead and started your build, including the controls and then post back if you encounter specific problems.

    Describe exactly what you have tried, what worked or did not work and then descibe in detail any remaining problems.

    Hi adnin,

     

    I just need that the controls of the video player can adjust itself (position and size) without getting stretched / skew while resizing it at design time using transform tool.

     

     

    Go to the bellow link, It will give you a .fla,  This is as2 based video control panel, open this in flash CS5 or above.

    Resize this component using transform tool. You will see the buttons in the control bar will keep maintaing there position and size while resizing on design time, these will not get stretched or skew. Only width of the seekbar gets resize as per our requirement.

     

    The same kind of controls i want to develop in AS3.
