Updating to Flash Player v11.3+ puts a separate control under Windows 7's (fully updated) volume mixer. While I don't know why it was implimented, it isn't really a problem, except for the fact that it keeps resetting to 100% volume every time I restart Firefox (latest version). This makes anything using Flash Player blast my speakers out every time something plays until I reopen Windows Volume Mixer and readjust the volume back to 20%.
Using Flash Player v10 doesn't have this problem as it doesn't have a separate volume control under Windows, it just uses Firefox's volume setting.
If anyone knows a fix to this, I'd greatly appreciate it.
p.s. My cookies are working fine. And this probably isn't a cookies-related issue, as it's in the Windows Volume Mixer.
workaround could be to disable Protected Mode:
