We need more info. Where are you downloading the Shockwave player from ? Is the software giving an error while installing ?

Thank you Nikhil,

I was d/l from Adobe.com

Software seems to be installing ok, but when unpacking .dxr file from ZIP folder the STATUS starts then stops part way thru

and file is not d/l.

How do I access M.S.P>?

Also when I try to access Adobe AIR on the program file I get the following:

"The installation of this application is damaged. Try re-installing or contacting the publisher for assistance."

When I try to uninstall it says this program is in use, I have no Adobe programs open.

Do I really need ADOBE AIR for just general use?

Shockwave Player is a browser add-on; you cannot run it as a standalone application.

I don't know if you can play your dxr file directly in the browser, or if you need to embed it into a web page.

If you don't have any AIR apps installed, then you don't need the AIR runtime.
