Can You Use Hex Coded Colours in InDesign CS6?

Hello,

I am hoping to use hex coded colours in my InDesign project, as I am transferring some colour schemes over from photoshop, but all I can seem to find are the slider option for colour options, and it would be much less efficient to use the RGB values, since these are separate into three sections.

Now *that*, my friend, betrays you have no idea what you are talking about :D

There are also "three sections" in "hex coded colors". Each pair of two hexadecimal digits form a single value, and since you have six hexadecimal digits per "hex coded" value, you actually have three numbers. Those three numbers can only range from 0..255, which is exactly the range available in InDesign for an RGB color (although in ID you can have fractional values as well).

Don't be such a pompous windbag with your assumptions. Rajennagar didn't give you any reason to believe that they did not know how HEX works, they simply stated that it would be easier to enter one line of letters and numbers into one box rather then three separate values into three separate boxes every time they wanted to add a color.

You should not come to these forms if you are going to speak down to those in search of answers. People come here to seek knowledge that they do not have, turning your nose down at them does not help them or the community.
