I have used Encore CS6 for a few weeks now and all has been perfect until now. I tried to burn a finished product and the drive sounds like it's working and the drive light comes on, but the disc is blank. I decided that there was a problem with the project, so I started over - same results. Then I took a DVD-RW disc that had an old program. I tried to burn to it, and it said it would erase the disc, then try to burn it. After it finished "burning" the disc, the old program was still on it. Then I thought it might be a bad drive, so I burned a CD. That worked just fine. It looks like the problem is with Encore CS6. Any ideas? BTW, I was able to burn DVD's before today, so I know that it used to work.
I need this to work, so would appreciate any suggestions. I also need to know how to save an image file, so I can save the image and burn with a different burning program. I can select the option to save to an image file, but there doesn't seem to be a choice to save or burn. Anybody know how to do that?
On the build tab, there is a choice for type of output (DVD, BD, Flash),and another for target (Disk, Image, Folder).
Many of us prefer imgburn to using Encore to burn:
I don't know whether some of the earlier problems with Encore are there or not; I got used to imgburn.
Thanks. I got the image file to work and I burned with Nero. I created a small test project and it worked just fine. I am beginning to think there might be something wrong with the Premiere Pro CS6 project.
>burned with Nero
That MAY be your problem... I think Nero (a part of...) is mentioned in one of the below...
