Brush Tool Layering

How do I cut an image I have selected using the brush tool to layer it over another photo I have?

    Any selection can be placed on a separate layer by pressing Ctrl+J

    Once you have selected an area, use Ctrl+C to copy it to the Clipboard, then in the other image use Ctrl+V to paste it in.
