InfiniteSkills has an Encore video tutorial on using a chapter index to create linked submenus. http://infiniteskills.com/blog/2012/07/adobe-encore-cs6-tutorial-creat ing-linked-submenus/
It is not clear here that the multi-page-menu-in-one-document option does not work in normal DVDs. After wasting much time, I guess it applies to Blu-ray only.
Auto-generation of multi-page chapter menus appears not to work properly in CS6 for normal DVDs.Only the second page of two appeared inside a (#) page group - the first page was left outside a group and could not be accessed when previewing. (25 chapters across two pages starting with 14 buttons plus fwd, back, main.)
With mutli-page in one document made manually as described above in a normal-DVD project, the menu comes up blank when previewing.
Or am I missing something ?
Multipage does not work in DVD period, only Bluray. For DVD chapter indexing, you are simply creating regular menus that are all linked (by Previous/Next buttons). The indexing process allows you to create one menu, and have the additional menus, with chapter buttons/names, created automatically.
After wasting much time, I guess it applies to Blu-ray only.
The multipage menu help page is called "Multi-page menus for blu-ray discs." But from this page ("Chapter indexes into linked menus"), you can't go anywhere else without searching. It is very confusing if you don't already know the topic.
