Is there away to make a advanced action on one slide apply to all slides in a project? I have two buttons. Ones shows an object and the other hides it. I would like it if the users clicks show on one slide the object will remain visible on all slides.
Double Click on that object and choose "rest of project" for Display (Timing section in Properties Inspector)
Once that object is shown by 1st button, it will remain visible on all the slides.
Vikram indicated what I would have proposed, provided you are using Captivate 5.5 or later. From 5.5 it is possible to show an object, that is displayed for the rest of the project, on each slide where it could be visible. And I understood that the visibility could be turned on each slide? If you are still with Captivate 5 however this is not a solution, because the object could be made visible only on the slide where it is really, however it can be hidden on every slide. Please mention the version you are using.
I hope it is the same object you are talking about on every slide? By putting it on the first slide and time for rest of project it keeps its unique ID for the whole project. That is not the case if you copy/paste the object to all slides.
Unfortuanlty it is not the same object. The object to be show in a text widget. The text on this widget is differnt on everyslide. I have two advanced actions for each button.
The show button has this:
The Hide button has this:
The number at the end of the Notes Widget corrisponds to the slide which it resides. What I would like to happen is if a user clicks show notes on slide 1 it was also make the notes visible on slide 2 and 3. This would be to universally turn notes one and off for the entire module.
Which version? Please!
Is it not possible to cover the widget with a rectangle or other object that mimicks part of the background? If the widget has always the same size, you could then Hide that rectangle when clicking to Show the text, and show it when you want to hide the text. That rectangle can be set to display for the rest of the project, but again I repeat that this is valid from 5.5 on
