User choice of which chart series to display

I want to create a stacked column chart with several series stacked and provide the user with the ability to select which of the series will display (most likely with a drop down menu). Is there a way to do this other than using view states?

 

I don't want to create a view state for every possible combination of series but I'm not sure if there is an easier way to provide the intended functionality. Can anyone help me out?
