Compatibility with CS3

I am trying to find a patch or plugin so I can make .idea files compatible with Illustrator CS3. Is one out there? I'm not having any luck finding one. I can open the .png files from the cloud, but the image is flattened. I need to preserve layers for finishing this particular project.

    Unfortunately, .idea files can only be opened with Illustrator CS5 (plug-in required), or CS6. For other versions including CS3, you'll only be able to download a flattened image such as a PNG file.

    Oh well. I was hoping that I could use the program I have, since I have no issues with it but this one. I'll just have to work around it. Thanks for your help.
