Is it adobe policy if they cannot resolve the issue when dialling to help try and resolve it to leave the conversation
1 without resolving the issue?
2 To change settings on your PC/laptop and not put them back?
I must say this is the first time that I have requested help and from a corporation like Adobe I expected 1 the staff to be able to resolve the issue or if not to inform you that this cannot be done and we will get back to you with a resolution But to be left in the dark with person just logging off with no further help. VERY Unprofessional!!
Thanks Hal First of all I apologise for posting in the wrong place but didnt know where to post it. I cannot and neither can the person from Adobe resolve my issue of being able to post my images to my Flickr account and after spending quite a while trying he just up and left without an explanation and without putting my computer settings back as they were
What application are you talking about and what is the problem. we may be able to help.
As Hal mentioned these are user forums with usually helpful users helping each other.
If I knew the product you were calling about I could pass the information to someone in Adobe who could address your issue or point you in the right direction. When using forums always supply as much detailed information as possible.
I have recently purchased LR4 and tried to connect my flickr account to LR4 so I could post images directly everytime I authorised through Flickr a blank page appeared and wont let me authorise it I spoke to Flickr and they advised me to contact Adobe which I did But the person dialled in and tried to resolve it but then left me with no explanation of why he couldnt do it changed all my security settings and just went left me waiting
This is the blank page message that I get lightroom://com.adobe.lightroom.export.flickr/#?oauth_token=7215763060 9239302-4299be62d521f4b7&oauth_verifier=97de9a55590a133c The page is blank
Hi Malo,
Sorry to hear of the initial experience and frustration leading to this forum posting.
Go ahead and try with them again in the morning if you have the energy for it, if not then we can certainly look into finding a resolution for you here on the forums.
So, if the call doesn't resolve the flickr authorization issue then come back here and we'll move forward in search of a resolution.
My guess is probably what the agent had started to look into, checking to see if there are any firewalls or popup blockers that might be disabling the content from loading on the Flickr Lightroom authorization page.
Perhaps even setting a different browser (i.e. firefox or Chrome) as the default before retrying the flickr authorization may resolve it for you as well.
Let us know how it goes, and if it gets resolved, let us know what the fix was!
Thanks!
Was there a resolution to this problem. I have the same (or similar) problem. I recently upgraded LR 3.6 to 4.1 and noticed when I attempted to publish photos to Flickr that it failed. Upon looking at my settings I noticed the Authorized button was available. I click on Authorize, takes me to a page from Flickr to confirm that I want to authorize but when I click to confirm a page cannot be displayed message appears with the URL: lightroom://com.adobe.lightroom.export.flickr/#?oauth_token=721576308 63685382-4ec6eff2e271d694&oauth_verifier=da8201c71e033d38. I attempted several times and flushed my Internet cookies. I also disabled the Flickr add-on, restarted LR, enabled the add-on, but no luck. The only option I have left to try is to remove the flickr account and recreate it, however I really don't want to do this since I will lose all the images that are already posted and to re-add those would cause duplicates to appear in Flickr. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi,
I don't use Flicker but had a similar problem with Facebook and the issue was noted here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4309520#4309520
You may be able to manually copy the URL you get from MS IE in the page cannot be displayed message (i.e. lightroom://com.adobe.lightroom.export.flickr/#?oauth_token=721576308 63685382-4ec6eff2e271d694&oauth_verifier=da8201c71e033d38) the into the Flicker Authorization URL in Lightroom.
