Adobe has blocked several of my existing docs and stopped access to the internet because I tried to convert one pdf job application into a word doc so that my daughter could complete it more effectively .
Before I can use the Adobe file converter on my machine instead of my daughter's need to unblock my docs to access the internet ..Please help asap ...as it's a real problem for us ...
Hi again maurecle,
The Adobe ExportPDF service is a web-based service for converting PDF files to Word or Excel and cannot enable or disable your ability to access the internet.
Could you provide some more detail about the steps you're taking and if/when you get an error? Perhaps we can provide some advice.

Thanks David
As explained before the problem occurred after I tried to convert one PDF file ( SACCS Student Practioner job application) into a word text document. I then had / still have the message :
" Adobe Reader could not open SSScheduler.exe because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged ( e.g. sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded) ."
All my desktop icons such as Microsoft Excel , Word 2003, Google Chrome Firefox , Explorer ( to access internet) etc., have been affected ...I 've tried to delete some but others remain with this message ...making things very difficult ...
I purchased the AdobeExportPDF service expecting this to enable me to rectify the situation...and hopefully convert the SACCS job application into a suitable doc to be filled in ...but after converting it to a Word document and then a Rich Text format ...the job application is still not viable as a doc to fill in ...because text does not run right across the page ...
We are taking my mother away from 5th - 12th July so it is very urgent to get this sorted out before then please .
Thank you
Maureen Clegg

This message would indicate that you're trying to open an executable (.exe) file in Adobe Reader. Adobe Reader is only capable of opening PDF files.

While the ExportPDF service will allow you to convert PDF files to Word files, it doesn't necessarily mean that you'll be able to fill out the form within Word. Word handles text in a very different way than the PDF format. Can you send me the PDF form to me? I'll take a look as soon as I receive it to see if there's something I can do for you.

Hi Maureen,
I got the private message you sent, but I never did receive the file you were referencing. I'm also not sure what you meant by "assist me in unblocking my desktop files that have been turned into adobe files preventing me from accessing the internet". Could you provide some more detail? I'll see what I can do to help.

I sent the doc on the link you sent me ...as I 've tried to explain several times ...when I tried to turn the SACCs pdf into a word doc it turned all my desktop docs including my internet access icons into adobe pdf files which I cannot open ...I gave you the details of what these adobe pdf files indicated in my last email along with the SACCs pdf ..
I 'll try to access what I sent and forward to this email address
Thanks
