What size for a new app

Hi all,

This is probably a stupid question, but then I won't know if I don't ask. I've been using DPS for a while now to get my head around all the overlays etc but have only just got an iPad to test on (iPad 3)

My question is, when setting up a new document in InDesign what size should I be setting it up for? 1024x768 or 2048x1536

I've done a couple of tests and noticed, on text, it doesn't seem to matter which size as long as the Folio is the correct size.

I will primarily be making single edition apps so, if I understand correctly, renditions isn't an option for me.

Reditions cannot be implemented on DPS Single Edition Apps. For information on how to design for Single Edition Apps, refer to this earlier forum post which has alot of inputs on how to go ahead and desgin for both Retina and non retina display : http://forums.adobe.com/thread/985690?start=0&tstart=0
