Fireworks CS6 Trial install issue

I'm on an XP PC and have various other versions of Adobe software. Wanted to try out CS6 at home to see if my work files in CS5 opened ok. Cannot open anything - cannot even get a new file to open/import a photo into a new file. Errors are as follows: C06d007e (unexpected exception) on startup and (could not open file, internal error occured) when opening a jpg.

I have reinstalled the software one time. Chat and phone Adobe support will not assist since this is a trial version of the software.

Any thoughts welcomed...

    Which CS6 application are you having problems opening the file in?

    You might get better answers on the FW forum. This could be a known issue of sorts...

    Thanks to you both for replying - I was able to solve the problem myself - Microsoft Service Pack 3 installed and there seem to be no issues going forward with Fireworks. Have a great day!
