I'm working in InDesign CS6 on a new Mac Powerbook.
I created hyperlinks in an InDesign CS3 document (last year) which I brought into CS6 today.
My hyperlinks do not apear in the control panel (as a list), but I see the highlighted links in the document and they are active when I save to pdf.
I'm including one additional comment - even though I marked the hyperlinks with invisible boxes, I'm still seeing outlines around the links.
I'm hoping once I have the panel with the list of links I can adjust the look on the page, too.
Is there a way to set the control panel back to a default setting?
Merci beaucoup!
I opened the CS3 file with no problems in CS6. I did not use a file exchange format.
It's not the hyperlinks in the document which are the problem - they are still there.
The hyperlinks are not listed in the hyperlink palette window - as they were in CS3 - as image links are shown in the link window. See image below.
Thanks!
Ok. I just solved my own problem. I was reading about other problems and someone mentioned trashing the InDesign preferences file. So I did. I'll come back if I lose my hyperlinks list again.
"There is a quick and easy method for doing this using the keyboard: close and relaunch InDesign, and IMMEDIATELY hold down Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or Cmd + Ctrl + Opt + Shift (Mac), and respond in the affirmative to the dialog asking if you really want to replace the preferences." per Peter Spier
RE Discussion:

I have the same problem. Tried resetting my preferences but it hasnt helped.
Solved It!!
Seems like my workspace profile was corrupt. I changed from my personalised profile to "Interactive for PDF" ( which has the Hyperlinks panel) and it worked. All the Hyperlinks and cross-references show.
Now i am going to rebuild and save my profile
I had the same issue with my Hyperlinks palette -- very frustrating -- but the solution does not require trashing (and laboriously rebuilding) your profile.
Open the drop-down menu on the Hyperlinks palette (as you would to "Edit Hyperlink") and click "Small Panel Rows" at the very bottom. The Hyperlinks section should reappear.
It took me 2 hours and 3 times rebuilding my profile before I tried that out of desperation
Now I'd like to know exactly how to get rid of the "Cross-References" section of that palette.
