I purchased CS6 Production Premium upgrade yesterday and I have been trying to download the file ProductionPremium_CS6_LS7.dmg for a 1.5 days. I have downloaded a 5.91 gig file so many times I cannot count ...
In my download window I click the file, a new window opens, it starts downloading and for 2.5 HOURS the download lasts. Then, when it says it's done, it starts again ... What in the world is going on with this. I have NEVER had this much trouble downloading a file/update, ever.
I am 99.9% ready to cancel my order and ask for my money back. This is just stupid. It's keeping my computer and internet busy and taking too much freaking time.
Anyone know what could be going on or is this a known issue?
I first tried the download in Google Chrome, my primary browser. Then, after trying it for over a day and multiple times, I started using Firefox this morning thinking maybe it's a browser issue. It is not. I just spent a significant amount of time downloading it again using Firefox, while I was working - and I have to use my internet connection to work ... so the download took HOURS. Once again, when the download said it was finishing ... the clock started ticking up again to 2.5 hours. WTH?
Please, if someone can help me figure this out I would appreciate it ... or I will just call Adobe and cancel the purchase.
BTW, this whole download an APP, and install BS is so annoying I can hardly stand it. What ever happened to just downloading the disc image?

BTW, I did manage to download the Adobe Illustrator CS6, and CS6 Content disc images and they opened fine. Also downloaded the installation instructions, which are useless since I cannot download the installer.

I'm not sure why I would be expected to leave the website of one of the largest software developers in the world to go to a 3rd party site and download their very expensive software. Seems just a bit ... cheap to me.
I just spent a premium price for software "update" and now I cannot download it from the site. Everything I have read leads me to believe I'm expected to jump throught some hoops to download the software I just paid for.
Something is WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE.
Why can't I download my software?
