Audio conforms over and over again

I use dynamic link from Premiere CS5 to Encore CS5. When I first make a project and open Encore and apply dynamic link, the audio conforms once in Encore. All is well. But if I make the slightest change in Premiere, the next time I open Encore, the audio conforms over and over again - around 10 times. During this time I cannot work on the project. This can take 30 mins or more, and I end up with many files on the C dirve (Media Cache).

 

I use a separate drive for the project, and have specified (in Premiere) that I wish all cache files to be stored with the project. But Encore still fills up the C drive with these files.

 

This also happened with CS4, and happens on two different video computers. My system is Windows 7. Video is PAL based HDV with Blackmagic card.

 

I would love to solve this bug - it's such an appalling time-waster. Help much appreciated.
