Re: Error on DPS Viewer Builder

Jul 17, 2012 11:09 AM

I am trying to test my app on an ipad for the first time.  When entering the Distribution and Developer Mobileprovision files I get this error:

APP id inside Mobileprovision file contains "*".  This type of Mobileprovision app id is only applicable for enterprised signed builds.  You will need to re-generate this file with a valide App id.

I went back and re-created the app id and got the same message.  What am I doing that makes this an enterprised signed build?

Thanks for any help.

Are you selecting Ad Hoc when you create the App ID? If so, don't.

I'm sorry. You can select Ad Hoc when you create the distribution mobileprovision file, not when you create the App ID. Check the distribution mobileprovision file.

You mean an InHouse certificate. Your AppID should not be with an '*' inside its name.

Im having exact same issue. But I have not selected adhoc option but the appstore distribution.

I have to say Ive spent two days trying to solve the Apple/Certification/Provisioning stuff.

It is simply not easy to swap between adobes multiple windows/appledeveloper/keychain/ etc etc and have to find what to import and export and where to find it.

Another slower step by step video covering this would be very very helpful!

What do I need to do in order to get a distribution certificate???

I have managed eventually to get CER's  I have also generated P12's but I cant seem to get the provisioning files to be accepted.

    Same error message  as glory-kids.

Please help - I have read Adobe puublishing Process for Ipad apps and its clearer but doest address issue about type?
