"Temp File" Rendering Question

Jul 17, 2012 9:38 PM

Hey all -

I'm just curious if these AEtemp-xxxxx-OutputName.psd files are actually getting written somewhere on my hard disk or if they're truly temporary.

I see them flashing by in the directory while AE is rendering to a .PSD sequence.

Any idea what happens to them - if they still exist? - after the render is finished?

Thanks,

RC

These are usually temp files generated for MP rendering to avoid limitations with multiple processes accessing the same file and I/O bottlenecks. It's safe to delete them.

Temp files go to the user temp directory:

    C:\Users\Canoli\AppData\Local\Temp
