I was just going to PDF a file in InDesign CS4 and discovered that all of the PDF presets are gone. There are no .joboptions files where they should be and I am at a loss. Is it possible to download these presets from somewhere? The only thing I can think of that might be related to this is that I recently deleted an expired trial of Illustrator CS5, though why one would affect the other I have no clue. ![]()
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
The important aspects of [High Quality] are Acrobat 5 compatibility (to keep transparency live), no color conversions, and compression for color and Grayscale set to Automatic and 300 ppi, 1200 ppi for monochrome.
Press Quality does a Convert to Profile (Preserve Numbers) bu is otherwise the same.
It occurs to me that I can zip up the presets and send them to you, which I will.

The link should be good for the next ten days.

This is an early set, and does not include the PDF/X-4 options from CS5 or later....
You can download the presets from me at https://www.yousendit.com/download/UW14SlJ5d0llcElpR01UQw, but where they belong will depend on your OS.
Before doing any of that, however, I believe another user mentioned last month that replacing their prefs brought the presets back, so it might be worth trying that first. See Replace Your Preferences and use the Manual method after making a backup.
