Nav bar not displaying in IE

I've got my nav bar mostly working the way I want it to in all browsers except IE. Anyone have any insights?

What I was trying to do was create a nav bar with opacity, but ultimately I have concluded that IE does not support the type of opacity I was building so unfortunately I have decided to abandon the drop-downs and just go with a simple one-level navbar. Have to recognize that there are still a lot of IE users out there, more's the pity.
