Although I get this error, if I skip the validation process, I can get the install to initilize and am asked if it's a trial or do I have the serial number.
Does this mean the download went okay, or there may still be corruption if I try to install?
Thanks.

It is likely that the download was successful. We see this error come up regularly depending on where users chose to download the install files using the Adobe Download Assistant. If their insufficient permissions for the folder then it can cause this difficulty. So far all users who have reported this problem, and have provided updates, have also reported a successful installation.

I'm on Mac OS X 10.6.8.
The download went into my download folder where I do have permission to read and write.

I get the same error. I called Adobe support and was told the issue is a result of using wifi to download creative suites. I was told since the file is over 7 GB it is so big that it is unstable and I need to connect with a cable for the download and then try....hmmm. I have tried to install repeatedly into different places on my mac (OS X 7.14) and get that checksum error every time. Since it is such a pain to find a cable and reconfigure I would like to find easier method. I welcome input on this.

I downloaded connected via ethernet and got the same error.
It appears that if you skip the verification process, the install will nevertheless work.

I tried it again and it worked! I just stopped the install during the verification process and it succesfully installed without getting the Mac error message! Yay. I did NOT re-download with a cable. Thanks for the tip!
