Text area keeps expanding in browsers when selected?

I have a spry text area in a table that keeps expanding (horizontally) the entire table when the text area is selected in browsers. I already set the columns and lines in the property inspector but the issue still persists. I think it is just a browser issue as it varies among different browsers. You can see it at http://www.centomedia.com/contact/ How can I fix this?

    I just realized that it expands to meet the width of the table. I also tried adding the css property "resize:none" with no success. Someone please help.
