Adding bullets to animated text

Jan 16, 2007 6:34 AM

Is there a way to add a bullet to animated text. When I insert a bullet using a different font (Marlett), I end up with all the text being in the bullet font, making the rest of the text (which was in Arial) unreadable.

Thanks.

    Hello There,

I added bullets to my animated text. I created a bullet using Photoshop (10x10 pixels). This is a plain round dot, which is black. I find that 9x9 pixels is a better size for what I do. You can use Flash to make a bullet as well, or any other graphics drawing program.

then import into your captivate project.

    Voila, a bullet!

    Hi all

The larger question (at least in my own mind) is to ask exactly how you are adding the bullets? Are you simply locating a specific character and prefixing the text with that? Or are you adding the bullet separate to the text animation.

    Cheers... Rick

A simple method is to hold down the Alt key and then press 0149.  This will produce a bullet that will work in text animation.

I found a list of characters on this site:  http://www.1728.org/altchar.htm

Note: I have only tried the bullets, none of the other characters.
