The slideshow module keeps on crashing

Everything is in the title.

yes I did get a error message but it was too long to copy here.

I've paid good money for Lightroom. I'M spending a lot of time using it and perfecting my stuff. If it crashes all the time, what's the point?

Are you serious about this ?

because I am about my work and I don't feel very much respected by this version of Lightroom.

I'm using the most recent version, 4.1 and I'm very disappointed.

If you want help, describe what you are trying to do. Tell us about your system. Mac? Windows? Files? Drives? Ram? If you don't want help, you are posting in the wrong forum as this is a User-to-User forum.

I didn't leave the sentence unfinished. It crashes so often that it's impossible to know exactly the action that caises it.
I know it cerashed while trying to Preview it. It also crashed when I changed the music.
At some point, it didn't wanted to play for more than 1 second. Don't ask me what changed, but it started to play again later.
I have a MAC, I'm running the latest version and I'm starting to doubt my decision to buy this thing.
I don't know what else could actually help in terms of information - when the bug is so random that you can't avoid it, I'm thinking it doesn't look very good.

Hi pbphotographie, sorry to hear about your crashes. It's not doing that for most people, so we'll be really pleased to help, but as Rikk said, we'll need more information.

For example, your Mac - if you go to Apple menu > About this Mac, what does it say for OS version, processor and memory? Have you run Software Update to get all of the latest updates?

What kind of files are you using? Are they raw files or JPEGs? And are they stored on your internal drive or elsewhere?

Does it crash without music?

There are also a couple of troubleshooting steps to try, including trashing the preferences file and testing a clean catalog, but we'll come back to those once we have a little more info.
