Tagging is grayed out on GoPro footage

That's about the long and short of it. I transfered to gopro footage to my hard drive and imported it into prelude, but all the tagging features are diabled. Any Idea what I'm doing wrong?

    I'm afraid you're not doing anything wrong, instead there seems to be a limitation where XMP is unable to be written with some MP4 codecs.

     

    In the meantime try transcoding your GoPro material, perhaps to QuickTime, you can do this on the right side of the Ingest Dialog in the transfer options. If the built-in AME presets are insufficient you can create your own in AME and that new custom preset will appear in Prelude.
