Memory

Hi

 

We are using CS4 14.0.0 on WinXP/SP3 on a HP Workstation with 4GB RAM. Windows only has 3.5GB because its 32bit, but CS4 shows only 2GB integrated Memory.

 

Must CS4 be newly installed after adding RAM to a Workstation? Or is the 2GB integrated Memory the size of the virtual Memory set in WinXP?

    CS4 will not see more ram even after adding more, as its a 32 bit programm.

    For Premiere to see more ram you need to upgrade to CS5 or higher and a 64 bits OS.

    You mean, that CS4 is always limited to 2GB although Windows has 3.5GB and Hardware is 4GB? This can not be changed through virtial Memory settings or anything else?
