Any advice?

I need to create an estimator form for a website i have designed. It needs to give various options on items through out the form whilst making a calculation to sub total as items are chosen. Also it needs to allow customers to enter a postcode, where the website will be able to work out how far the mileage is and to add to total cost if over a certain mileage. ( if that all makes sense!)

Can anyone advise me on this?

Typically this is done using javascript. On the submit of the form the calculation is made so no page refresh is needed.

I'm not sure 100% of the calucations you are making, but if you look at the code of the following examples it should give you a good starting point:
