My computer keeping shutting down and restarting automatically whenever I open a PDF file using Adobe Reader 9.5... I've had 9.5 for quite sometime and never experience this problem. I uninstalled it and reinstalled and still having the same issue. I also tried using the newer version 10.1.3 and foxit, however they do have the same features as 9.5.. Features I rely upon daily. Like, being able to insert documents from another file or delete a page from current file and resave. I would need to print all my documents and then scan the ones I want together in one attachment, which is tedious and wasting paper/ink. I would really appreciate some help to resolve this problem ASAP.. Thank you for your time!!!!
I just tried to uninstall Adobe Acrobat software, however it is not allowing me uninstall. It's doing the same thing while going through the process. Automatically shutting down and restarting.
Hello, I was able to uninstall/reinstall through the link you provided, however, I am still having the same problem. What should I look for under Event Viewer? I am looking at the list, however it does not mention anything about Adobe.
Hello, sorry for the tardy response. I am not sure if I am readin the Events correctly. It shows AdobeARMservice. It says, "the event ID from AdobeARMservice cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted." problem still not resolved. Does this mean I have to purchase a new Adobe Arobat? I got this one less than 2 years ago. They are expensive. I do appreciate all your help and feedback.
