Is there any way I can show my website correctly on under Internet Explorer 8?

I am new to web development and I am having hard time to figure out how to show my website on under internet explorer 8.

If somebody can help me to figure it out, that would be great!

The wrong DOCTYPE is in use.
You are using HTML5 tags such as header, nav and footer but using a XHTML doctype (line 1 of the code).
Delete Line 1 in the code on all pages and replace it with <!DOCTYPE html>

You need to add a HTML5 shiv so older IE browsers will render HTML5 properly
