    Hello again,

I installed OBJ Converter in DIRECTOR 11.5 Xtras (it initially went to the x32 system, thinking of DIRECTOR 8.5).  I am on a W7Pro machine.  Convert 3D Files does appear in the Xtras menu but no dialog box appears.  I tried installation again per their ReadMe with no success.

Is it safe to say that this converter is not updated for 11.5?

It appears to come from a 3rd party too.

    Thanks!

OBJ Converter comes from a third party, yes.

I have personal experience with the awaW3DTrans Xtra, on both Windows and Macintosh. On Windows 7 it is significantly slower than on Windows XP, but it does function on all the Mac and Windows platforms that I have tested it on. My recommendation would be to start with awaW3DTrans, and see if it performs well enough for your project.

Thank you for the recommendation, will do!  I noticed $50 is a reasonable price.

    Cheers!

You can test the awaW3DTrans xtra before you buy it. An unlicensed version shows a dialog when it is instanciated to let you (and your client) know that it hasn't been paid for yet.

I've uploaded a demo movie + projector to:

    (9.7 MB)

Yes!  I noticed that on their website.

    Thank you for the download!

Since it comes with no support or warranty, I will have to take my time to figure out how to get the Windows download to work because the associated Xtras in it conflict with the Xtras in my DIRECTOR installation.
