I'm having a strange playback issue. When select my second monitor to show the video preview and them play the video both screens start to flash and they stay like this until i stop it. It happens when i move the timeline marker throughout out the timeline too.

My pc:

Intel core i3

8gb ram

Radeon HD 6670

Any ideas to solve that?

    Might be your underpowered hardware.

    >problem was not happening before... before a format my pc... happaning with DV and HDV

Well, what have you done differently when you reinstalled Windows and all of your software?

If everything worked until you wiped and reinstalled, it is not Premiere's problem... it is something you did that is not the same as before

    PedroHCR,

You said you're on Windows 7. Have you turned Aero desktop off? With dual monitor setup it can often cause problems with video playback. I recently had serious stuttering that went away right after Aero was disabled.

So check the Aero setting. That is something that can be easily forgotten after a clean install of everything

If someone find a solution just tell me.

That is extremely unlikely, due to lack of information from your side.

OK, some hardware is mentioned, such as an underpowered CPU, lacking memory, non-MPE capable video card, and now a single disk.

You still haven't told which video driver version, what other hard disks you have, their fill rate and connection, the source material, your display setup, what processes are running, what tuning you have performed, etc.

If you have only one disk, your setup does not meet minimum requirements.

Did you do a complete format and fresh install of Win7 and programs after trying Win8? Did you try using DVI only for both monitors? Have you tuned Win7? How many processes are running?

    Pedro,

Did you try to disable Aero desktop? Don't mind about minimum requirements, "underpowered" CPU and so on, they are not causing your problem as it started only after reinstalling OS.

Yeah, like an untrained COPD patient trying to run the New York marathon without shoes but with a 40 lbs backpack.

    Harm,

Believe it or not, underpowered hardware or running processes in Windows are NOT always the correct reasons for problems, although they are your default answers for everything. You are a 4+ MVP, try a bit harder

Hey thanks for the help Arokki_ I also ran into this probelm on my Windows 7 64bit system and disabling Aero fixed the problem. It could be a AMD driver issue because Im using (2) HD6950's and everywhere I searched with this problem were people also using AMD video cards.

Hey andrrbnsn! Glad I could help you out! There are tweaks online for getting Aero to function with dual monitor setup but I seem to have lost the link..
