I am trying to help someone with their website. I need help in styling.
I have created a (PowerPoint) sample, shared it with her...she loves it. I'm tickled, but folks I've worked on this and I can't figure out how to set it up. Don't know the coding to create the styling.
I have a background picture, and then nesting on top of that...three seperate boxes (ie. header, left nav. bar, body).
I had hoped to take a class last month at our local Community College on Dreamweaver but it was cancelled. I DID buy the video we were to go through in class and have been going through it myself. But I'm on a time limit...needing to have her site created by the end of September (as her current site expires then).
Would someone, could someone, write me privately to help? I can send you the Power Point document I created so you can take a look at it, hopefully to help me with css coding?
Thank you so much!!

Yes, that's it. Looks good. I can do something with that. (Change font, add pages, pictures, content, etc.)
Murray, when there is more text...and the body has to be scrolled...the background will remain solid?
Looks really good. She will be tickled!! I so appreciate you doing that.
Can you share the coding?
Thank you.
Melody
And by the way, you don't need a class - between http://www.w3schools.com and the tutorials on the Adobe site, you should be good to go in about the same amount of time.
I realize you're on a time deadline. But taking a few hours to learn HTML & CSS basics will help you more than any course in Dreamweaver will. If you understand code fundamentals, DW is easy to use. Without a working knowledge of code, DW will frustrate and confuse you.

You are right!! It definitely would be worth the time to learn HTML & CSS basics. I bought the book "Head First HTML with CSS & XHTML" and am going through it myself. Taking a while, but I've learned a bit. Have thought to look into buying a video that would teach the same thing...just don't know a good one.
I will look into the links you sent. Appreciate that!!
Thank you Nancy...you are so very right. Appreciate your kindness.
Have a GOOD day!
