Hi,
Hope you're well.
As you'll see in the attached screenshot, I've created a graphic in Illustrator that is just type inside a rounded rectangle.
When I try to center the type inside of the rectangle, it doesn't center it. I've measured. Even after I created outlines, it still doesn't center perfectly, it just gets closer.
Is this normal?
graph,
If you select the live Type with the normal Selection Tool and:
1) In the Appearance palette/panel flyout tick Add New Stroke,
2) With the Stroke selected (in the Appearance palette/panel) Effect>Convert to Shape>Rounded Rectangle (just with the default values),
does the live Type appear centred in that rounded rectangle?
If not, at least part of the live Type non centring is a matter of how the actual letters are placed within the height of the Em square.
So all in all, we are better off than our friends in the Lower 48, maybe especially Bert.
Over here, we have one of the coldest and wettest (and cloudiset) summers ever. It seens to give the opposite issue with the maize/corn, with the lack of sun and heat, most of it being only waist high or less now.
Steve has said nothing about his (lack of) summer yet.
