Password protected document

I am in a class that sends my book in a PDF with a log in and password to access the book.  On the iPad how do I get the keyboard to recognize I need to input the login/pwd into the pdf.

 

I am using an iPad2, with Adobe Reader

    Have you tried the most recent version of Reader. It was updated recently.

    Yes I downloaded the new version today to try it and it would never let me select in the box to type the name/pwd.

    I copied a password-protected PDF to Acrobat Reader 10.3. When I opened it presented this dialog. I entered the password and it opened just fine. I'd try again.

    I've been checking with the University tech support too and they are saying it's not supported.  From the image Steve provide you are actually getting a pop up window, but the document I am on has the username/pwd embedded on the first page.  Guess I'll be sitting at my desk a lot longer that I had wanted too.

    You're going to have to talk to your IT department. You don't have a simple password-protected document.

    I was finally able to find something to open the locked pdf.  PDF Reader Pro for iPad does work for GCU and UOP pdf course files. The pdf I have is still locked from being able to highlight and annontate, but from the disscussion I read on Apple forums UOP students were able to highlight.
