I recently exported this video as progessive with the "video codec" at 2000x2000 px and the circular background is moving and changed shades when it shouldn't.
have a look: http://vimeo.com/46106739
Frame Size: 2000 Horizontal: 2000 vertical 1:1
Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.0
Fields: no fields (progressive scan)
Does anyone have any idea what I did wrong? Is there any other info I can get you?
Exactly! Wherein lies the problem. It's exported in "video" codec. it's the only codec that i found that was letting me export progressive with 1:1 (that doesn't mean it's only codec I can use, it's just the only one I've found so far)
The circle in the background is not supposed to move at all. It's one solid color, but when I export it is panning left and changing colors. You can see in the animation it even gets cut off at the end (or blends in). Here is the video again if that helps.
You can use the Lagarith codec. I check and it does indeed allow a 2000x2000 progressive 1:1 export choice. In the pic I didn't set the frame rate but you can set it to w/e you want.
If you don't have the Lagarith codec you can download it for free online. Anyways try using that and see if the issue goes away.
If you prefer quicktime you can try downloading the DNxHD codec and use that too, it also supports what you want to do.
