Just updated to PS Elements 10... now find that "save for web" will start with the usual question  confirming I want to save for web, but then the panel does not open. Nothing happens.

You can reset all settings to factory defaults by following this instaruction:

    Hope this helps.

What question is this? The only thing that ever normally appears before save for web opens after you choose it is the file size warning if you have largish files.

First of all, save for web only works if you're running from an admin account unless you change the permissions on it. If you are running from an administrative account, go to your username>library>preferences and delete:

    com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist

    Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 paths

    Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 settings

and any Adobe Save for Web prefs

The user library folder is hidden in lion. To see it, option-click the Go menu in the Finder and it will appear below the little house for your user account.

    Repair permissions and try again.
