Adobe Community: PS Elements 10 - MAC "Save for web" broken?

"save for web" will start with the usual question confirming I want to save for web

What question is this? The only thing that ever normally appears before save for web opens after you choose it is the file size warning if you have largish files.

Yes - that's the question I was refering to... some times ( if the file is larger) I get that... then nothing.... other times, if the file is smaller, just nothing... it spins the little wait clock for a second or two... then acts as if I'd not asked for anything at all.

Thanks for the hint, MytaxSite - (which needs the Command key added to the sequence, BTW, for OS X 10.7) ... but even after I cleared the preferences a couple of times and restarted PS elements, the "Save for Web" function is still non-functional...

First of all, save for web only works if you're running from an admin account unless you change the permissions on it. If you are running from an administrative account, go to your username>library>preferences and delete:

com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist

Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 paths

Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 settings

and any Adobe Save for Web prefs

The user library folder is hidden in lion. To see it, option-click the Go menu in the Finder and it will appear below the little house for your user account.

Repair permissions and try again.
