Mouse staying on screen

I don't know why this is happening but when I have a mouse on the slide the mouse shows up on the slide before it's suppose to and stay on the slide even after it's clicked the area I want to.  In my timeline it is marked to appear after a specific amount of time and only appear for 1.3 seconds but it's on the slide the entire time.

    I think you may be misunderstanding what the mouse object does.

     

    A slide can only ever either HAVE a mouse or NOT HAVE a mouse.  The object on the slide's mouse layer refers to the MOVEMENT of the mouse, not whether or not a mouse will appear on the slide. You move the location of the mouse object to indicate at what point the mouse movement will start and end.
