Content just disappeared!! please help

Mac 10.7.4

Indesign CS5

Im working on our annual pulication, everything has been fine up until this point. Im scrolling through the pages inserting copy, when I scrolled back the content had just dissapeared, vanished! I scrolled to other pages and the content began to just dissapear as if it had been deleted.

I selected all the content on the page and frames of elements showed but i couldnt select them. I looked again and the content frames had dissapeared.

any ideas?

Seriously hard to tell what the problem is.

Try doing a File>Export and choos IDML and open that. It opens as an Untitled document. Don't close your original for fear of forever losing it.

Exporting to IDML is a known cure for repairing corrupt documents, and it might help here.

I would also do a save as to a new name to hopefully get a second copy you can play with.

It would also be helpful, I think if you could show us a screen shot of a page with the layers panel open completely.
