I am using Illustrator CS6 (16.0.0) on a 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5 iMac running OS X 10.7.4. Illustrator has begun opening PSDs and other raster images as a blank document. I make a PSD in Photoshop, save to my desktop, and drag the PSD onto the Illustrator icon in my dock. The same blank page opens no matter the dimensions of the original document. The same thing happens when I open through Illustrator's open dialog box.
It had been working up until last week, when several items were updated (I'm using Creative Cloud). But Illustrator wasn't one of the items, right? Surely the version number would've changed. Is this happening to anybody else, or am I doing something wrong?
I've already trashed prefs repeatedly to no avail. Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated. I've already reported this as well.
Wow. This is incredible. I've been going nuts trying to figure out why a perfectly legitimate EPS file always shows up as a blank letter-sized page on my Mac. I'm using CS6 Cloud version. And, yes, I recall installing the app. plug-ins to Font Explorer just the other day. I removed the plug-in for Illustrator just now and now I can see my EPS file! Great. I'll alert the Font Explorer guys about this, although I'm sure they've already been bombarded. Thanks for this information!
Cheers,
Peter
