Why Wont Dreamweaver CS6 log in to Business Catalyst?

Jun 25, 2012 2:28 AM

Hi there,

I have been trying over and over again to get Dreamweaver CS6 to log in to Business Catalyst but it keeps going in a loop and asking me again for my login details without ever allowing me to import or create a site. I have tried installing the old extension that worked perfectly and it still does not work.

I have now tried it on my MAC and that works, but I need it to work on my PC specifically.

If you are using CS6, you need to uninstall the BC extension. The extension does not work in CS6, nor is it needed. CS6 has the extension and integration built in.

Is there a way to use both 5.5 and 6?  Dumb question, sinc I haven't even tried yet, BUT . .. if the BC extension is built in, how do we uninstall it (assuming we're talking about 6)?

Yes, you can use both. Uninstall the extension from both CS6 and CS5.5 .... then install it using the extension manager from CS5.5.

Just clicking on the .mxp file will want to install it on CS6 by default. There fore you must open the CS5.5 extension manager and install from there.

Are you logging in with your Adobe ID? (Usually the same one you used to install Dreamweaver)
