File changes size when saving to PDF

Hi there...

 

I have a artboard measuing 8" x 10".

 

When I save it as a PDF file for the printshop, it changes the size to 9.5 x 12.

 

????

 

Any ideas?

 

I'm using Adobe cloud cs6

    Could you please post a screenshot with the pertinent Panels visible?

    Could it be that the additional space contains crop marks and the like?

    Check your PDF settings. As C.Pfaffenbichler said, you are probably creating some print marks and adding gutter/ bleed.

    Hello c.pfaffenbichler, and Mylenium.  ... thank you both for replying.  I'm sorry, but I didn't see the responses until today.  In the past, I've gotten emails from Adobe telling me that there was a reply posted.  I thought no one replied.  :-)   

     

    I just noticed that there is a .125 bleed all the way around.  Umm.... I guess that answers my question!

    The notifications might have gotten caught in your SPAM filter, in general they still seem to be sent to participants.

    There are different kinds of email notifications which may be set/removed as user preferences. Most people try to get rid of them.

    Regarding the figures, 8" > 9.5" (1"1/2 up) and 10" > 12" (2" up) appear inconsistent (mutually and with 1/8 bleed (twice, yielding 1/4)).
