.PSB Compatibility

I was trying to import the new Photoshop CS6 file format .psb in LR4.1. It does not work. Is that correct?

If yes, is there an other way to import files (over 25'000 pixel length) in LR4.1 or is there a possibility to use the old .psd format (wich I used under CS4) or other Photoshop file format? It looks that the .psd file format (CS6) has a limitation.

Who can help?

Thanks

LR doesn't support PSBs, but you don't need PSBs for only 25,000 pixels.  Just use TIFF.

.PSB files are for images that take up over 4 GB of disk space. This could be a much smaller resolution (e.g. 1024x768) file with many layers increasing its size.
