Hi,
I used Adobe Customization Wizard and created a customized install package. I used 10.1 MUI. I installed that on several Citrix XenApp servers, then updated them to 10.1.3 MUI.
When new users run Adobe, they are asked what language they want. English is the default. They click OK and it goes away. It happens once per user but with provisioned Citrix servers that will be a pain.
I could not find a way to fix this.
I then downloaded Reader 10.0.0 US only and created another package. I could not find a 10.1 US only. I installed that..worked fine..but how do I update it to 10.1.3? I could not update to 10.1.3 so I tried 10.1, both give me an error saying the update doesn't work on this install.
Do I need to go to a 10.0.x update first or am I just completely missing some easy fix here?
Any help is appreciated.
See if you can set the lang for all users at the reg level. I haven't looked at those prefs in a while. See AIM.
There's a 10.1 en US installer here: ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/10.x/10.1.0/en_US/.
You didn't describe enough of your goal for a complete answer, but in general:
Ben
That is what I was looking for, thanks. For some reason I could not find it.
My goal was to create a US package that would install 10.something, then upgrade to 10.1.3. That worked!
My previous MUI package...even though it was set to US, would ask the user each time what language they wanted.
