Lightroom sound with MTS clips

I cannot get sound from my .MTS clips.  I have installed Quicktime and they still don't play sound.  It does for elements 10 but not fro Lightroom how to get sound?

    Where did these files come from?

    How is the audio compressed (what codec is used)?

    Camera is Sony HDR-CX550 in HD mode. The thing that bugs me is I can hear it in Elements 10.

    If I put together a slide/movie show and burn it to disc will the sound be there?

    Lightroom doesn't support Dolby 5.1 audio in AVCHD files. As you note other Adobe products do so Lightroom really should too. At the very minimum there should be a warning about unsupported audio.

    I agree, although I can imagine there might be a good reason (different programming language, and app environment, means code might need some work to port over...).

    I agree, and the suppression of "info" in cases like this is a big pet peeve of mine.
