I cannot use Adobe Cloud due to the age limit?

I have just bought an Adobe Cloud Student and Teacher edition subscription and it is saying that I am under the required age limit. I purchased this product due to my understanding that any student from an accredited public school or high school could use this product and recieve a discount. Please help, I love to edit films for class so is there any way that I am still elligible for this program and if not, why? I am 12 years old.

Also, I have proven my eligibility.

I think there are restrictions across the board for all online services for kids under 13. For example, Facebook has this ban.

Magumus - when do you turn 13?

There may be a way with it being activated by a parent. An Adobe support person may be able to confirm.

    Hi Magimus,

Dean is correct - As long as you are enrolled in an elligible school, you will be able to purchase Creative Cloud at the discounted student rate. However, you will need to have an adult complete the registration, payment, and activation for you. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, (read more here), you cannot register with Adobe if you are under the age of 13.

Have you actually purchased a subscription yet? Where are you encountering this age restriction message?

All of the information that is entered for the Adobe ID should be your father's information since he is the one that purchased the subscription. However you go about filling out that information is up to you and your father. If he has internet access in New Zealand he can update the information associated with the subscription by logging into MyAdobe.

I am unclear as to how your proof of enrollment + your father's identification information may affect the subscription, but if he already purchased the subscription it would seem to me that your enrollment verification was accepted. Have you downloaded the applications yet? Can you take a screenshot of the age restriction message you get?

    >I had the age limit when I actually went to download the apps. But now it is asking for my age again. Am I allowed to get my father to enter his age or will it conflict with the student and teacher discount?

    Hi Magimus,

I'd say - go ahead with getting your father to enter his details. It appears you have already been verified for the education price and so would not be stripped of that.

    > Okay, I'll try that. Thank you so much.

Glad to help. Wish you all the best with your Adobe endevours.
