Hello All, it's me Mr. Whinie again with yet anouther "problem"
CP6 Mac when I duplicate an item or save, the "stage" moves to a different part of the open window, many times leaving only a small bit visible and forcing me to reposition it to see the whole screen. WHY?
Now for those of you that have messaged me because I'm "whining too much", I have used Adobe products since 1990 and have used numerous versions of all of their programs including Director and Flash and have been a giving comminuty member helping others for pretty much all of those years.
I have no problem paying for software, but with the new advent of "cheap" software available, when a company like Adobe charges a premium for software, then IMHO it should be EXTREMELY well tested and documented. They should also allow the purchase of a pervious version for at least 6mo. until all the kinks of the new release are worked out by those that want to fight with the newest release.
Any insight on how I can stop the above would be welcome.
I find it odd that 3/4 of your post is about your whining...not sure we needed all that to help but......anyway: Is there any chance you are using a Magic Mouse (Apple)? That's what I use and it causes all kinds of funky stage and other movements on the screen. The same thing happens in InDesign. It's the only 2 programs that I use that it doesn't work well with but I love the mouse so I put up with the pains of using it in Captivate.
I have the same issue and it is caused by the touchpad on my Lenovo Thinkpad laptop. If you touch it by accident, everything moves off screen. My workaround to get it back is the shortcut key CTRL-0 (Best Fit) or CTRL-1 (100%) if the view percentage was already set to Best Fit.
Lieve, do you also use an external mouse? If so, you may want to consider trying to configure the laptop so that the touchpad is disabled when the mouse is present. Many laptops will allow you to do that.

The issue is that the only way to change font size in the Interactions is by using the scrollbar of that touchpad, neither typing nor using th mouse wheel is functional for me, not even when I disable the touchpad. That the moving screen is due to the touchpad, has been told by the Adobe devs, but I'm not so sure about it.
I hear what everyone is saying, however I don't use a track pad or a magic mouse and I save by using a keyboard shortcut so I'm not even touching the mouse and it still jumps.
I understand loving a product, but if there are FLAWS in it that effect usage and slow down productivity then the need to be pointed out and fixed.
This problem shows up in CS6 Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Flash but not in Dreamweaver. It is also in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint. I have to admit that I use a Magic Mouse but this should not be an excuse, nor do I see this as an Apple Magic Mouse problem. If as you say these applications were fully tested on all the equipment for a given platform this issue should have been found and fixed by now!
