When I add a clip from a wavform to a Multitrack by "insert into Multisession" the Multisession's duration is changed to approx 25Hours from 30 minutes! and the clip is placed at around the 23 hour mark, not at the CTI? I created a new Multisession and tried inserting a different clip but got similar results, a very long duration with the clip somewhere on the 25 hour timeline, not exactly the same numbers as the first example but same weird functionality.I have tried this on another machine and there is no issue, the clip always snaps to the CTi on the track which is highlighted. Re-installing the program is an option, but is this a known issue with a know resolution or a one off glitch? Thanks,
Sounds like the file you're adding to your multitrack session has embedded timestamp. You can override Audition's default handling of this metadata by opening Preferences > Multitrack and unchecking "Use embedded timecode when inserting clips into Multitrack"
It appears you are running into the same issue described here:
To summarize, the file you are adding to the session probably contains BWF metadata timecode that tells the file where it should begin in a timeline.
You can disable this feature by going to Preferences > Multitrack and disabling the option for "Use embedded timecode when inserting clips into multitrack".
