I need help with rollovers

Jul 23, 2012 7:58 PM

I'm trying to create rollovers for my header for my web-site.. I want each letter to change to a different color when rolled over..but I don't need it to be linked to any sites I just want it as a graphic element.I'm designing in MUSE I have the text all typed out I just want to select or highlight each letter and make a rollover for it when rolled over?

So you rollover my title of my site and each letter will change colors ...

Any Ideas?

    Hello artastic84,

Normally, when you set a text box you have the states corresponding to the whole box that you can edit, like this: http://screencasteu.worldsecuresystems.com/Cristi/2012-07-24_1141.png, but if you break your text box in individual text boxes for each letter you'll have the ability to edit each state for each letter like this: http://screencasteu.worldsecuresystems.com/Cristi/2012-07-24_1142.png

You can see an example here: http://www.mu03.co.cc/logo.html

Regarding the link just don't set anything in the box next to Hyperlink while the letter is selected.

    Cheers,

    Cristian

    Hi artastic84,

In case you haven't found yet how to change an image on a mouse rollover, you could use the Rectangle Tool item, draw the rectangle and then set the states to what you need. Example of a picture changing to another picture here.

Regarding the cursor states, this isn't an option controllable from within Muse and will involve a bit of html writing. If you're ok doing that I think you can run a search on the internet and see what you find for cursor states.

    Regards,

    Cristian
